Joan Helen Walters
I started painting in about 1992 after I retired from casual teaching. I commenced with oils, tried watercolours and then I found pastels. I began lessons with Robyn Gosbell and discovered a wonderful medium!
I also did Folk Art for four years.
I continued with Doris Kaminski and then took lessons at Hazelhurst with Caroline Corby. We had good lessons and great friendships in our class and we put on a lovely exhibition of our work in December 2006.
I am a member of Sutherland Shire Art Society and have contributed my work in the last few exhibitions.
I have found painting to be a wonderful hobby.
