Noel
Carrigg
Noel commenced painting in 2002 and was attracted to watercolours because of its atmospheric applications. Since commencing to paint he has been tutored by Tanner TAN, a Chinese Singaporean, who has over
forty years experience and a distinctive “Asian “ style. Other tutors have included Joseph Zbukvic a Victorian painter of international standing,
Malcolm Beattie, Ross Patterson, Jenny Mac Naughton and Ron Muller.
All artists have influenced Noel in developing his style with favourite subjects being
urban-scapes, sea and landscapes. He is still developing his style by experimenting with different techniques, subjects and paper surfaces.
In his short time as a watercolourist , Noel has won first prize in Watercolours at the Sutherland Art Society exhibition in 2006. He has also sold a number of his paintings at various exhibitions to private and corporate buyers. |
